West Ham are keen on Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, but we just can’t see him making that move anytime soon.

CaughtOffside are among the sites reporting on West Ham interest in Nicolas Jackson, on the same day that other sources reported on strong Newcastle interest in the Chelsea striker.
Jackson pushed for a loan to Bayern Munich this season, which ended up making Chelsea’s attacking options much weaker. It didn’t work out for him either, as they didn’t use him much and now don’t intend to trigger the €65m purchase clause in his loan.
He’s coming back to Cobham this summer – although it seems likely both he and Chelsea are keen to part ways permanently.
We don’t really see Jackson moving to Newcastle – or to West Ham for that matter. He clearly thinks his level is above Chelsea, given how desperate he was to go to Bayern – so he must surely think it’s above these clubs too.
The good news is that there’s clearly a lot of interest in him, meaning we should get a good price if we do decide to sell.
The London is Blue podcast had some strong feelings about how we should approach our new manager and what kind of tactics they should play.
We’re hoping to have Reece James fit to play in our next game, as he still has another week to get up to speed.
