Chelsea have more players in a combined XI with Arsenal than the Gunners, according to WhoScored’s average ratings. Ahead of the game between the two sides tomorrow afternoon, it makes an interesting comparison of which individuals have had the better seasons so far.

The Blues have Robert Sanchez, Wesley Fofana, Marc Cucurella, Moises Caicedo, Pedro Neto and Joao Pedro in the lineup, which you can see below. It could be even more – Arsenal contribute Martin Zubimendi in midfield over Enzo Fernandez despite an equal rating, just because Zubimendi has played slightly more minutes.

Chelsea and Arsenal’s Combined XI ahead of Sunday’s massive game.

As far as we’re concerned, it’s an extremely good sign that Chelsea have more players in this team than Arsenal. We hate to admit it, but the Gunners have been the best team in the Premier League this year. They’re top for a reason.

We’re some way off their level in terms of consistency and team play, but the fact we’ve got individuals that are playing well enough to get into their team (at least in this imaginary combination) is promising.

It’s no guarantee of a result tomorrow, but we’ll take what we can get right now. Of course both Cucurella and Fofana won’t be available for the game, but there’s no denying we’ve got a chance…

In other news…

Chelsea are lacking in form attacking options right now, but Liam Rosenior tried to stay positive about the whole situation.
