Christopher Nkunku has been linked to both Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, with speculation suggesting his Chelsea stint, following a £52 million move in 2023, might not last long. However, these aren’t the only clubs showing interest in the 27-year-old.
According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany, Nkunku isn’t planning a move in the winter transfer window. That said, if his playing time doesn’t improve by summer, he could start exploring other options.
Last week, GOAL reported that Nkunku has been encouraged to join Manchester United. Meanwhile, The Athletic notes that while Nkunku is frustrated with his limited minutes, he’s not actively seeking a transfer right now.

On Wednesday, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca calmed down any talk about Nkunku being unhappy and wanting a January move. Moreover, the 44-year-old notes that with the schedule becoming more jammed, several players will see an increase in minutes as they rotate their squad.
“I also like to be long-haired,” Maresca said. “It’s like this: Joao Felix played a Premier League game the other day against Leicester, and Christopher, for sure, is going to play a Premier League game. But we have many players. We try to share minutes with all of them. The intention, the target, is to keep all of them happy, even knowing that sometimes it’s not possible.
“Now is not the moment or the time to think about January. Until the end of November, we still have many, many games, especially in December. Then we’ll see. No, not at all. I spoke with Christo days ago. He didn’t say that he’s not happy. For sure, he would like to play more minutes, but him, like many, many players. But as I said, we have so many games, especially now in December.”
Fichajes reported on Tuesday that Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are both keen on signing the talented French player. Both clubs are said to be exploring the possibility of negotiating his transfer, knowing he’s open to a move in search of more playing time and visibility.
