Chelsea confirm loan exit after youngster signs new deal

Chelsea youngster Kiano Dyer has signed a new deal with the club before moving to Dutch side Volendam on loan.

The 18-year-old has put pen to paper on a deal until 2030 and will now spend the season in the Eredivisie.

Dyer joined Chelsea in 2021 from West Brom and has a been a regular for the club’s under-21 side.

He also made his men’s first-team debut in December 2024 in the UEFA Conference League victory away at Astana.

Volendam secured promotion back to the Dutch top flight last season by winning the Eerste Divisie title in 2024/25.

He becomes the latest Chelsea youngster to leave the club, with a host of exits being finalised before the transfer deadline.

Alex Matos joined Sheffield United on a permanent deal on Monday, while Omari Kellyman sealed a loan move to Cardiff City.

Ishe Samuels-Smith also headed out on loan, joining Swansea City, while Jimmy Jay-Morgan will spend the season with League One club Peterborough.

Ronnie Stutter, meanwhile, has joined Barnet on loan for the campaign, while Brodi Hughes will also spend the season in League Two with AFC Wimbledon.
