Chelsea were crowned Club World Cup champions in emphatic fashion after a ruthless 3–0 dismantling of Paris Saint-Germain in the final with Cole Palmer at the heart of it all.
The young Englishman was unplayable on the night, scoring twice and assisting another in a first-half blitz that left PSG chasing shadows.
The Blues got off to a flying start, pressing high and unsettling the French side from the off. The breakthrough came in the 22nd minute, when Malo Gusto’s surge down the right ended with a low ball into Palmer, who coolly slotted past Gigi Donnarumma.
Minutes later, Palmer was at it again - this time played in by Levi Colwill, the England international made no mistake, burying his second of the night to give the Blues breathing room.
Things got even better for the Londoners just before half-time. Palmer turned provider, dancing through midfield before slipping in João Pedro, who calmly made it 3–0. PSG, flat and disjointed, had no answers.
PSG improved slightly in the second half but were met by a rock-solid Chelsea defence and a confident Robert Sánchez in goal, who pulled off a series of top saves - including a superb stop from Ousmane Dembélé.
As frustrations boiled over, João Neves was sent off for an off-the-ball hair pull on Marc Cucurella, summing up a forgettable night for the Champions League winners.
But Enzo Maresca's side never looked like letting this one slip, managing the match brilliantly and keeping their cool as PSG lost theirs.
With this result, Chelsea secured their second Club World Cup title, becoming the first-ever winners under the tournament’s new format and added another trophy to their season following their UEFA Conference League triumph.
