Chelsea have confirmed the departure of midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka, who has joined Borussia Dortmund on a permanent deal.
Dortmund are believed to be paying a fee of around £24m to sign the 21-year-old, who spent time on loan at the German club last season.
He joined the Blues from Aston Villa in 2022 and went on to play 32 times for the club in all competitions.
But he fell out of favour under Enzo Maresca, and has now sealed a permanent move away from Stamford Bridge.
His departure takes Chelsea’s overall sales in this window to more than £270m, and is set to be followed by more exits before the deadline.
Defender Aaron Anselmino looks set to follow Chukwuemeka to Dortmund by joining the club on a season-long loan deal.
There is also the possibility that both Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson leave Chelsea before the window shuts.
Bayern Munich and Aston Villa are among the clubs keen on Jackson.
Nkunku, meanwhile, could be included in a deal for Chelsea to sign forward Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig.
Defender Axel Disasi is in talks over a move to Bournemouth, while Ben Chilwell, Raheem Sterling and David Datro Fofana will also be allowed to leave should the right offer arrive.
And youngster Tyrique George continues to attract interest from other clubs, including Serie A side Roma, and a departure either on loan or permanently before the deadline has not been ruled out.
