Chelsea express interest in 4th Barcelona star | OneFootball

The interest of Premier League giants Chelsea in potential transfer dealings with Barcelona has this week continued to mount.

This comes amid confirmation of the Blues setting their sights on the signature of yet another member of Hansi Flick’s squad.

Recent months have of course seen a number of Barcelona stars tipped for potential moves to Stamford Bridge.

Late in the summer, Chelsea launched an all-out assault on the signature of Fermín López.

This was followed by further links with both Marc Casadó and Ronald Araújo following the transfer window slamming shut.

And this week, it is Eric García who has seen his name linked with that of Chelsea.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, citing TBR Football, those behind the scenes in west London are keeping a close eye on the contract negotiations between defender Eric and Barca.

This comes with a view to a potential January swoop for his services.

The widespread expectation, though, is that the versatile stopper will soon pen an extension to his expiring terms in Catalunya’s capital, in the process putting to bed the chatter surrounding his name.
