There is one notable admission from Chelsea’s Champions League squad as we see the full submission revealed last night.
We had been waiting the whole day to see the squad revealed for Chelsea’s new Champions League campaign finally being back in it after too long out of it.
And now it has been submitted with one key admission.
Chelsea signed many players again over the summer, and there was one surprise name that came in on deadline day in what was a bit of an odd deal to do for Chelsea and not really inline with how they operate and recruit these days under the new owners.
They signed Facundo Buonanotte from Brighton on a loan deal. Fine, you think, good player, loan deal with an option to buy – ideal move. But nope, it’s a dry loan without an option to buy and if he plays well for us, we are essentially just developing him for Brighton or increasing his value for them to either sell him to us or elsewhere. But the ball will firmly remain in their court and not ours, should we want to buy the talented attacking midfielder.
But Facundo is one of the players who has not been included in Chelsea’s Champions League squad that was revealed last night.

Romeo Lavia is “B List” eligible along with Tyrique George and Josh Acheampong. So these players are all eligible to play as well.#
