With a quarter of the Premier League season played, it’s a nice moment to check out some stats and see where teams and players stand.

Looking at the top lists in various categories in the Premier League, not many people who have been paying attention this season would be surprised to see Moises Caicedo top of the interceptions chart.

Bur what about in terms of creative stats? Only Man City (23, almost all of them Erling Haaland) have scored more than Chelsea (21) with 11 games played.

As it turns out, the Blues have players dotted all over the creative categories. Pedro Neto is 6th in the league for expected assists per 90 minutes. Meanwhile Joao Pedro is joint top for big chances created.

Last weekend saw Estevao and Alejandro Garnacho pick up 3 assists between them, and that’s catapulted them both into the top 5 in the league for assists per 90. That’s impressive given we don’t have a goal machine striker to make it easy for them to boost those stats.

Overall, Chelsea’s creative side is looking strong at this point in the season, with all of their main players featuring somewhere above. If we can get Liam Delap fit and leading the line and putting these chances away, things can get even better. He certainly won’t be able to complain about a lack of ammunition.

In other news…

Emmanuel Emegha is a future Chelsea player who we’re all excited about, and we could get a chance to see him this week after he got his first senior callup for the Dutch national team.

Poor Raheem Sterling is having a tough time off the pitch as well as on it. He was the subject of a second home invasion in the space of 3 years over the weekend.
