Chelsea have a 10-man strong team having meetings now ahead of big summer | OneFootball

Chelsea reportedly have ten of their officials currently over in Madrid partaking in a meeting ahead of a big summer.

Xabi Alonso has obviously been confirmed as the new manager of the club, and he will be officially starting work at the beginning of July. But just because that is his official start date, it does not mean that his work with Chelsea has not already started.

Alonso, believed to still be living in Madrid for now at least, assuming he moves to London soon, is going to be way more involved in football operations and decisions at Chelsea than those who came before him. So that means that although he has not officially started as Chelsea manager yet, he is already starting to make summer plans in the transfer market and what he wants to do with the current squad.

As picked up on SPTC today, Spanish TV station El Chiringuito have managed to find Alonso walking through Madrid as well as some of the Chelsea directors.

They claim that up to a 10-man Chelsea delegation was in Madrid yesterday and met with Xabi Alonso and his staff.

This will very obviously be to speak about summer transfer plans and plans overall around the squad. Good news!
