In a recent report, Fichajes revealed that Chelsea have identified Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister as a top target for this transfer window. It has been stated that the Blues are eyeing a move to secure the services of the Argentina international this off-season.
Mac Allister experienced an up-and-down season at the Merseyside club but managed to put in a run of influential displays for them in the Premier League. The 27-year-old scored five goals and secured seven assists in 55 matches for Liverpool last season across all competitions.
The Argentine talent remains one of the best central midfielders in the Premier League. Thus, it is no surprise that the Blues are hoping to get a deal over the line for him this summer.
His current contract at Anfield will run out in the summer of 2028. Therefore, Chelsea would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting Mac Allister in this transfer window.

Mac Allister is a tough-tackling midfielder who can time his challenges well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the offensive and is an accurate passer as well.
The Argentine talent can even contribute by scoring and creating a handful of crucial goals for his side going forward. Mac Allister is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also operate as an attacking midfielder or as a defensive midfielder if told to do so. He has got a wealth of experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Chelsea.
We can expect Mac Allister to add more bite and steel to Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso’s midfield department. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at Stamford Bridge in the coming years.
At 27, Mac Allister is about to enter his prime, which makes him a worthy target for the Blues to consider in this transfer window. Hence, Alonso should focus on moving in for him this summer.
