In a seeming flip of their transfer strategy, Chelsea are looking to bring in the veteran midfielder Granit Xhaka, according to Sky Sports.
Xhaka, 33, is currently at the World Cup with Switzerland and has been at Sunderland for the past year. He had an excellent season with the Black Cats, helping them finish seventh in the Premier League in their first season back.
The midfielder spent seven years at Arsenal, and then two years at Bayer Leverkusen where he helped Xabi Alonso win the Bundesliga. Alonso is known to be a big fan of Xhaka and is of course the new Chelsea manager.
Inter Milan and Como are just two of several clubs interested in Trevoh Chalobah, reports Fabrizio Romano.
Chalobah is currently with England at the World Cup and the Blues have sanctioned his exit, several media outlets have reported.
The club are now waiting for the right price. Romano reports that Como bid €25 million, but Chelsea are expecting more for the defender.
Everton are interested in signing Jarrod Bowen, according to Sky Sports. Bowen, the West Ham captain, is not thought to want to play in the Championship and may be looking to leave the club.
Everton head coach David Moyes of course managed the Englishman when he was the boss at West Ham, and is keen on a reunion.
