Enzo Maresca has said that Chelsea expect to complete the signing of Jamie Gittens imminently.

Standard Sport understands the fee to be £55million including add-ons.

Gittens has not been named in a Dortmund matchday squad since their second group stage match of the Club World Cup with club director Lars Ricken confirming they did not want to risk the Englishman getting injured and thus placing the transfer in jeopardy.

However, it would appear the deal is all but done with the Bundesliga outfit granting Gittens permission to join up with Chelsea for their quarter-final tie against Palmeiras.

“Jamie was here tonight, he was on the pitch,” Maresca revealed. “And he will be with us probably one more day, two days more.

“And then he will go for a holiday and come back when we're going to start the new season.”

Another winger joining Chelsea shortly is Estevao Willian. The plan has always been for teenage Brazilian forward to join after the tournament as a deal for an initial £29m fee that could rise above £50m with add-ons was first agreed last year.

On his final assignment for Palmeiras, the teenager scored against his future club but was ultimately on the losing side.

Though, Maresca did heap praise on the youngster.

He said: “Estevao, I spoke with him for the first time after the game. I told him that it's been the perfect night because we won, he scored.

“So it's been perfect for us and for him.”
