Chelsea FC head coach Liam Rosenior is looking to reunite with Strasbourg centre-back Mamadou Sarr (20) as reported by RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins. The Premier League side are keen to bolster Rosenior’s defensive options as Chelsea prepare for the business end of the campaign as the Blues remain involved in four competitions. Chelsea were initially keen to sign Jérémy Jacquet from Rennes, but time is running out as Les Rouge et Noir remain intent on retaining the France U21 international until the end of the Ligue 1 campaign.

RMC Sport understands that Rosenior has already got in touch with Sarr, who has impressed in marshalling Senegal’s defense on their way to winning the 2025 AFCON. Rosenior is understood to prioritize a recall for Sarr, who is already under a long-term contract with the Blues. Internal BlueCo talks are reportedly underway to terminate Sarr’s loan to Strasbourg, which would be a considerable blow for Gary O’Neil’s Alsatians given Sarr’s status as an undisputed starter.
