With the future of Robert Lewandowski highly uncertain, FC Barcelona are looking for other top-class forwards in the market that can replace the Pole going forward.
In this regard, Julian Alvarez and Joao Pedro have been two players closely linked with the Catalan club. However, getting either of them this summer is not going to be an easy task for the Blaugranes.
Much has already been reported on why signing the Argentine would be almost impossible, but getting the Brazilian would involve its own set of difficulties, even though the player himself would be keen to don the blue and garnet jersey.
Despite the player’s willingness, Mundo Deportivo reports that Chelsea would not facilitate his departure, as they consider him to be the best player in their squad, and would not let him leave for less than €100 million.
Meanwhile, the situation is not going to be easy for the Blues as well, as they need to sell players to remain within FFP constraints, and also because Pedro wants to play in the UCL, for which the Premier League side has not been able to qualify this season.
For now, Joao Pedro would be fully focused on the FA Cup final, scheduled to be played tomorrow, on Saturday. After that, with his season decided, it would be time for Barcelona to make a move for the player.
