Chelsea preparing offer for 2nd Barcelona star | OneFootball

The brass at Premier League giants Chelsea are giving real consideration to tabling an offer for a member of the midfield ranks at Barcelona.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing ‘The Daily Briefing’, who point towards Marc Casadó as the player in question.

Chelsea of course pushed hard to bring in a member of Hansi Flick’s engine room setup over the summer.

In the end, however, the Blues saw their push for Fermín López come up short.

But as alluded to above, this setback has not deterred those behind the scenes at Stamford Bridge from their pursuit of a fellow Barcelona star.

This comes amid confirmation that Chelsea have shifted focus towards the signing of Marc Casadó.

As per a report from MD:

‘The Daily Briefing, renowned for its coverage of the transfer market, reported this Tuesday that Chelsea are preparing an offer of around €35 ​​million for Marc Casadó, aware that Arsenal are also following suit.’

The English outfit, it is understood, could make their move for the 21-year-old as early as January.
