Chelsea are likely to sell Trevoh Chalobah in the summer if he wants to leave.
Chalobah has been recalled from his loan at Crystal Palace to help ease the defensive shortage at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea co-sporting director Paul Winstanley called the 25-year-old on Tuesday night to inform him that he was being recalled early.
Chalobah is now expected to play a key role for Chelsea in the second half of the season with Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile both out injured.

Chalobah was frozen out at Chelsea last summer and told he was not part of the club’s plans for the season.
After helping Chelsea in the second half of the season, Standard Sport understands Chelsea will sanction a permanent sale of Chalobah if he wishes to leave in search of more regular game time in the summer.
He had made 12 starts in the Premier League this term for Palace but has the Eagles with immediate effect and will not be involved in their match away to Leicester on Wednesday, instead returning to Cobham.
The former England youth international is a Chelsea academy product who joined the club’s youth set-up in 2007.
He has scored five goals and made 80 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions since first breaking into the senior team in the 2021-22 season.
