With Saturday’s early kick off now on the horizon, Chelsea players are back in training after a relaxed week. The Blues who haven’t been on international duty are at Cobham for a chilly few days of training building up to the Leicester game on Saturday.
These sessions with half the squad away are always a great chance for players out of favour to try and catch the eye of the manager, and there are few players more in need of that than Jadon Sancho. He’s fit and ready according to reports in the last couple of days.
The left winger had a good run as Enzo Maresca’s first choice shortly after arriving, but in the last few weeks he was kept out of the team by illness, and in that team Pedro Neto really hit top form. That will effectively lock Sancho out of the league team for now, and the work starts here for him to show Maresca what he can do again.

He has one advantage in that Neto played for Portugal in the break, potentially making him unlikely to complete 90 minutes on Saturday. But the former Wolves man was allowed back to Chelsea early by Robert Martinez, so there is no chance he won’t be starting.
Sancho offers something very different to Neto, and it’s nice to have the variety. But after scoring the equaliser in our last game and looking our most in form and explosive player, we think it could be an uphill battle for former Man U star Sancho to get a look in.
How many league games do you back him to start between Saturday and Boxing Day? Unless there’s an injury, it could well be zero.
