Strasbourg manager Liam Rosenior is set to be appointed as the new Chelsea head coach, according to a report from The Telegraph. The English coach emerged as the favourite to take the reigns at Stamford Bridge following the departure of Enzo Maresca.
Rosenior has impressed since he swapped the EFL Championship for Ligue 1. The former Hull City manager has gained plaudits for his development of young players and guiding the Alsatian outfit into Europe. The Racing club have also impressed with their performances in the UEFA Conference League this term.
The Englishman was viewed as the early favourite to replace Maresca given the relationship between Strasbourg and Chelsea with the shared BlueCo ownership. Strasbourg have already began looking for replacements.
