Chelsea’s season is in full flow, and one of their key players has spoken to the club’s social media about how he uses technology in training and between matches to help improve his game.
Marc Cucurella is as close to an ever present as you’ll find in a modern team, and it’s vital he gets good data on his performances.

“I think the most important thing is consistency. I think every day trying to improve, and always every day try to be a better player every day,” the left back said.
“I think technology is very important, because some days you feel good, but you check the technology and the data and you’re a bit tired. So I think we need to use it because in football these days we play a lot of games, we play every three days.”
Speaking of which, Chelsea are back in action tomorrow night against Atalanta in the Champions League. Cucurella will surely be rested for that game, having racked up a silly number of minutes this season already. We are sure the data right now is saying the left back needs a break, and this game gives us a chance to deploy Jorrel Hato instead.

Beyond affairs on the pitch, Chelsea are continuing to target top young players from all over the world. The latest talent is from close to home – Southampton have produced another gem we’ve got our sights on.
Robert Sanchez made some comments after Saturday’s game which a lot of fans won’t be too happy about – standards are on the floor right now.
