Chelsea to make late calls on Palmer and Pedro for Leeds semi, Estevao out | OneFootball

Chelsea will make a late decision on the availability of Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro for Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final against Leeds United at Wembley, while Estevao Willian will not play again this season.

Caretaker Calum McFarlane said both attackers had trained and would be assessed after another session, adding he was hopeful they could be involved. He also confirmed Estevao will miss the rest of the season.

Chelsea arrive in poor form, with one win in their last eight. A 3-0 defeat by Brighton and Hove Albion in midweek ended Liam Rosenior’s spell at Stamford Bridge, and McFarlane has taken over as caretaker until the end of the season.

Leeds are unbeaten in seven and snatched a 97th-minute equaliser at Bournemouth to reach 40 points, leaving them close to safety.

The Whites have not lost to Chelsea this season, winning 3-1 at Elland Road and drawing 2-2 away after trailing by two goals.

Palmer troubled Leeds in the reverse fixture, yet involvement for both remains uncertain.
