Chelsea to reintegrate Enzo Fernández as senior leader | OneFootball

Chelsea will reintegrate Enzo Fernández and are happy for him to continue to be a part of the leadership group at the club.

The Argentinian talked up a move to Madrid and had previously appeared open to a move away from the club.

The comments led to Fernández being dropped by Chelsea much to the anger of the player's agent, the former Argentina international Javier Pastore.

According to journalist Jacob Steinberg of The Guardian, the Blues are ready to let bygones be bygones and bring Fernández back into the fold. He will also continue to be considered as one of the team's senior figures which could see him captain the side once again.

Fernández missed Chelsea's 7-0 win over Port Vale in the FA Cup and will not play in the upcoming league game against Manchester City meaning that he is likely to return for the visit of Manchester United on April 18th.
