Chelsea have been hit with a £27 million fine by Uefa, with a further £52m conditional for breaching financial rules.

The latest punishment leaves them under pressure to make sales this summer ahead of their return to the Champions League, according to The Guardian.

The Blues would also be unable to register new signings in European competitions over the next two seasons “unless they can show they have generated a cost saving with sale of players against acquisitions.”

Enzo Maresca’s side are open to offers for Noni Madueke and Christopher Nkunku, while Joao Felix and Raheem Sterling also have no future at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal have been linked with an interest in Madueke, who has been valued at £50m by Chelsea.

Nkunku also has admirers in the Premier League, including Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

But given the struggles of Felix and Sterling, the West London giants could struggle to get the duo off their books this summer.

Chelsea have been very active in the ongoing transfer window.

They have already secured a £30m move for Liam Delap, while Joao Pedro recently arrived at Stamford Bridge in a deal worth up to £60m.

Chelsea are set to announce Jamie Gittens after reaching an agreement with Borussia Dortmund.
