Chelsea will host Arsenal in the London derby on Sunday - a game that's bound to bring excitement.

The Gunners head to Stamford Bridge searching for a win after failing to impress in their last three Premier League fixtures. Defeats at the hands of both Bournemouth and Newcastle United, as well as a draw to Liverpool, have thrown Arsenal's chance of stealing the league title into jeopardy.

Whereas the Blues endured a 1-1 draw against Manchester United in their first game without Erik ten Hag at the helm after defeating Newcastle 2-1.

Regardless of their recent fixtures - meetings between Chelsea and Arsenal are always feisty, conjuring up some of the most unmissable storylines in the Premier League.

Arsenal delivered a sensational performance against Chelsea in April, with former Blues star Kai Havertz bagging two goals in the second-half to solidify the Gunners' position at the top of the league table.

The north London side delivered a rampage over their London counterparts, with almost all of their success arriving in the final 45 minutes. Heading into the break just one goal ahead, both Ben White and Havertz found the back of the net before the hour mark - opening the floodgates on an eventual hammering.

Mikel Arteta branded the clash, and Havertz's performance, as 'unbelievable' at the time. While Arsenal eventually lost out on clinching the league title, this performance allowed fans to dream a little longer.

Chelsea 2-2 Arsenal - October 2023

Arsenal's clash with Chelsea in October 2023 was slightly less impressive, but the Gunners did come from behind to snatch a point from their visit to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea star Cole Palmer, who's expected to make an impact during Sunday's game also, scored the first goal of the game after being presented with a penalty thanks to a William Saliba handball. Mykhailo Mudryk was the next to find the back of the net after capitalising on a mistake from goalkeeper David Raya.

But, the west London side were unable to celebrate for long, as their 2-0 lead was destroyed by a stunning strike from Declan Rice late in the game. A further effort from Leandro Trossard split the shares - maintaining Arsenal's unbeaten record.

Arsenal secured yet another victory over their local rivals in May 2023, once again returning to the top of the table as a result of their performance.

This time, it was Martin Odegaard who deserved the flowers - scoring a mesmerising brace that neither Kepa Arrizabalaga nor Chelsea's backline could prevent. Gabriel Jesus netted another for the red side of London, taking advantage of his opponents weak lines.

A final strike from Noni Madueke was only enough to deny the Gunners a clean sheet.
