Robert Lewandowski has completed a move to Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire after bringing an end to his successful spell with Barcelona.
The Poland captain has signed a contract until 2028, becoming one of the league's marquee arrivals ahead of the second half of the MLS season. His move to the United States follows the expiry of his Barcelona deal, despite reported interest from AC Milan and clubs in the Saudi Pro League.
Lewandowski leaves the Catalan giants after four seasons, having scored 120 goals and provided 22 assists in 192 appearances. During his time at the club, he helped Barcelona win three La Liga titles, three Spanish Super Cups and the Copa del Rey.
The 37-year-old also enjoyed trophy-laden spells with Lech Poznań, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, collecting 33 major honours across his career, including the Champions League and 10 Bundesliga titles.
He now joins a Chicago Fire side sitting third in the MLS Eastern Conference, with the club hoping his experience and goals can inspire a first league title since 1998.
