Guadalajara is enjoying a great moment in the domestic league, and this Sunday they will look to match their record of 11 consecutive home games unbeaten when they host Pumas on Matchday 13 of the Clausura 2026. Gabriel Milito’s side currently has a 10-game unbeaten streak at Estadio AKRON, with an impressive 93 percent effectiveness rate. A win over the university side would allow them to reach that milestone at the Fortaleza Rojiblanca.
Recent results against UNAM suggest this is highly achievable, as Chivas has gone eight straight home games without defeat against them, recording six wins and two draws. The goal difference has also been notable, with El Rebaño scoring 17 goals and conceding just six during that stretch.
In fact, during this strong run, the Guadalajara side has thrashed the Mexico City team four times in La Perla Tapatía: three 3-1 wins (CL22, AP22 and CL24) and one 4-1 victory (Clausura 2022 Repechage).
Looking at the bigger picture, the head-to-head record in short tournaments also favors Chivas. In 70 meetings, Guadalajara has won 24, drawn 32 and lost 14, with a +17 goal difference.
