Christian Früchtl joins our goalkeepers

New signing from US Lecce in Serie A

FC Red Bull Salzburg have a new goalkeeper! 26-year-old German Christian Früchtl joins our Red Bulls from Italian Serie A club US Lecce and has signed a three-year contract.

Our new keeper came through the youth ranks at FC Bayern Munich, where he played for their U17 (24 appearances), U19 (10), Bayern II (72) and the first team (one), contributing to numerous title wins. He also spent time on loan at Nuremberg and on loan at our league rivals Austria Vienna (80 appearances), giving him experience in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga. Most recently, Früchtl played for Italian Serie A club US Lecce (2 matches).

With Christian Früchtl, we have signed a goalkeeper with an excellent development behind him and a wealth of experience who will greatly support and complement our young goalkeeping team.
