Dear Bayern members, dear fans! Firstly, I'd like to wish you all a Merry Christmas, a nice holiday season and a good start to the new year. It's a great honour and joy for me that I get to speak for all of us here at Säbener Straße – for our president Herbert Hainer, for our board led by Jan-Christian Dreesen, Michael Diederich and Max Eberl, for our sporting director Christoph Freund and of course for our players and the whole coaching staff. I've learned a Bavarian saying for 2025 that I'd like to use here: Pack ma's! All together, with you!

I'd also like to take this opportunity to say a big thank-you to all of you: thank you for how you've welcomed me and my team to Munich. I'm very happy when I look back on these first few months at FC Bayern. You've given me the chance at one of the best clubs in the world, and you've all made it incredibly easy for me and also my family to quickly settle into our new surroundings. I hope you like how the team are playing on the pitch. We were aware that it wouldn't all click immediately at the start, but I can assure you that we're working hard together with the players every day to excite you with every game. FC Bayern stands for winning, attractive football – that's our expectation. Again in 2025.

The end of the year is always a time to look back and reflect a bit, but in sport in particular you always have to look ahead. Unfortunately, we have to postpone our return to the DFB Cup final once again – but postponed is not cancelled, and there are other big goals in 2025: FC Bayern always has the ambition of winning the Bundesliga title, and there's also a special pay-off waiting at the end of the season with the Champions League final here in our city, in Munich. I understand the desire to walk out at our Allianz Arena, and we'll do everything to achieve that dream. But let's go into the new year step by step, together, side by side. I've learned a second Bavarian saying, a quote from the great Franz Beckenbauer, who I always admired: "Schau‘n mer mal!" ("Let's see!")
