Manchester City’s 4-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur was our 250th as a professional outfit.
A Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw hat-trick and clinical Jill Roord strike helped the Blues cruise to victory at the Etihad Stadium and extend our unbeaten start to the season to 11 matches.
And there was extra cause for celebration with this latest success seeing us reach yet another significant milestone in our professional history.
Gareth Taylor’s side reached our 250th win in our 340th competitive fixture, meaning City have claimed victory in just under 75% of our matches across the past decade.
Of those victories, 112 have come under Taylor’s guidance since his appointment in 2020, with the other 138 secured during Nick Cushing’s tenure.
During that time, City have found the net a remarkable 852 times, conceding just 257 in the process.
Win number one came all the way back in April 2014, with a Toni Duggan brace seeing us get the better of Reading 2-1 at the Manchester Regional Arena in the FA Cup.
Unsurprisingly, the majority of those triumphs since have been in the WSL, with City gaining three points 144 times in our 201 league fixtures.
Our highest number of wins across a single season came in 2017/18, when we registered 27 victories across all competitions.
Congratulations to Gareth, Nick and everyone who has contributed to those 250 wins over the past decade.
