City continued a week of celebrations with three prizes at the 2026 Women’s Football Awards.
Just 24 hours on from confirmation of our first Barclays Women’s Super League title since 2016, we were picking up honours in a special ceremony hosted by Gabby Logan.
Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw won the public vote for Player of the Year, having scored 22 times in 29 matches across all competitions.
The Jamaican striker came out on top of a star-studded shortlist of 10, including team-mates Kerstin Casparij, Lauren Hemp and Vivianne Miedema.
Charlotte O’Neill, Managing Director of our women’s team, was recognised by a panel of expert judges as the Football Business Trailblazer, for her tireless work in developing the women’s game on and off the pitch at City.
Finally, we were voted as the Club of the Year by the public.
Having already sealed the WSL title and with an FA Cup still to play for, our first team have set the standards across the country with influence from homegrown players through our own development pathway.
That award also highlights the excellent work of City in the Community, our charity, in increasing access to football for girls through Greater Manchester and beyond.
Congratulations to all award winners!
