FLW's Birmingham City Fan Pundit Jason gives his thoughts on Eiran Cashin's move to Blackburn Rovers.
This article is part of Football League World's 'Terrace Talk' series, which provides personal opinions from our FLW Fan Pundits regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more...
Eiran Cashin's time at Birmingham City has come to an abrupt end, with the centre-back joining Blackburn Rovers after being recalled from his loan by Brighton & Hove Albion.
Cashin made the loan switch to Birmingham over the summer, but racked up just 415 Championship minutes in the Second City - while he was often deployed out of position at left-back.
FLW's Birmingham City Fan Pundit, Jason Moore, suggests that the situation has worked out best for all parties, with Cashin joining Blackburn on loan this week.
"I am more than happy for Cashin to go; he has been okay at best the last few weeks," Jason told FLW when asked whether he believes the 24-year-old still had a part to play under Chris Davies.

"I think that people need to realise that we have been bang average/very poor in recent weeks. We have won one game in eight, and Cashin has only played due to how thin the squad is."
After failing to make an appearance in nine out of 10 matches between October and December, the Irish defender would rack up the most minutes of his Birmingham spell during its latter stages - with just his second start of the term coming in the recent 1-1 draw against Southampton.
Though crucially, Cashin has seen minutes in his favoured centre-back position hard to come by.
"He has been playing at left-back, and he is not a left-back," added Jason.
"I am more than happy for him to go - he was never going to stay, with him being the fourth choice centre-back when Brighton sent him out on loan to get minutes.
"I would rather us go and get someone in permanently, who is a decent left-footed centre-back that Chris Davies wants."
Cashin joined the club after making 21 Championship appearances on loan at Derby County last term, racking up 90 minutes in all but two matches. Jason would go on to mention the idea that the defender was unsuited to Birmingham's current approach.
"I think he doesn't suit the way that we want to play. He needs to go to a side like Blackburn, where his duties will be heading and clearing. I think it's good for all parties. I am happy for him to go," concluded Jason.
While a second successive promotion after taking League One by storm was ambitious, Blues fans had every reason to get excited after their summer business.
Alongside the likes of Marvin Ducksch, Demarai Gray, Kyogo, Tommy Doyle and more, Cashin arrived as Birmingham showed serious ambition over the summer months. And as has been the case for multiple of the club's additions, it hasn't quite clicked as of yet.

The current iteration of Birmingham City couldn't be further from the side last seen in the Championship two years ago, but it cannot be ignored that the expectations are different this time.
The club's ownership group carry serious hopes, with a proposed new stadium seemingly meant for the highest level. Though as of now, the momentum on the pitch has slowed after tallying a whopping 111 points in the third tier last season.
The nature of this year's division leaves the Blues not too far away from the chasing pack, though they will have to find some consistency in the coming weeks, in terms of both results and Chris Davies' team selections.
