Claudio Echeverri again loaned by Manchester City, this time to Girona

Manchester City have again loaned Argentine attacking midfielder Claudio Echeverri, who heads to Girona for the second half of the season in La Liga after an unconvincing spell at Bayer Leverkusen.

L'Équipe reports that the 20-year-old joins without an option to buy, with the agreement running until the end of the campaign.

Echeverri is regarded as one of River Plate’s latest prospects, having come through their academy before being sold to City in January 2024. Girona are another club within the City Group.

His Leverkusen loan brought limited minutes, 270 across 11 appearances, and no goals or assists, which curtailed the stint.

The Argentina youth international remains under contract with City until 2028, and this move continues his search for the best environment to progress.
