Liverpool have got to move quickly if they're to beat Newcastle United to yet another star. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed an incoming bid.

Newcastle United's transfer team will absolutely hate Liverpool. Detest them, even. And that's without even considering the Alexander Isak last summer.

We wrote earlier in the week that Johan Manzambi looks like a spectacular signing after a brilliant season at Freiburg has been followed with an exceptional World Cup. He's one of the very best in his age group worldwide and Liverpool, who are in the market for a midfielder, should pounce.

Only, once again, Newcastle lead the race and are eager to sign Manzambi. Fabrizio Romano now confirms that a bid is being prepared and will go in shortly.
