Turkish outfit Trabzonspor are ‘closely monitoring’ Sheffield United midfielder Gustavo Hamer, who has been a long-term target for the Black Sea Storm.
The Brazil-born Dutch star started his youth career with Eredivisie giants Feyenoord, where he spent seven years.
He played only two official games for the Dutch outfit and made his name during his impressive three-year spell at Championship side Coventry City.
Hamer played 132 times for the Sky Blues and attracted significant interest from Yorkshire giants Leeds United regarding a potential switch.
However, Sheffield United were able to beat the Whites to Hamer’s signature, after agreeing on a fee with their fellow Championship side.

The 28-year-old Dutchman can play in a multitude of positions in the engine room and won the Championship’s Player of the Season last term, as the Blades lost the playoff final against Sunderland.
Chris Wilder’s men have been significantly worse this campaign as they currently sit 17th in the league table, but one ex-Championship star lauded Sheffield United’s unquestionable quality in the frontline.
Hamer has scored only twice, but has provided eleven assists in his 30 Championship appearances, and clubs abroad are keen on him.
According to Turkish outlet Fotomac (via A Spor), the Black Sea Storm are keeping a close eye on the 28-year-old playmaker.

It has been suggested that the Super Lig giants wanted him last season as well and the Blades wanted a significant €15m for the Dutchman.
But now it has been claimed that the Championship club want €6m for the 28-year-old, with his current deal set to run until the summer of 2027.
The Trabzon-based club were ‘officially’ in the running for Hamer in the winter transfer window, but a move did not materialise.
The Black Sea Storm have a record-breaking Paul Onuachu leading the line, and the prospect of a creative force like Hamer tempts the Super Lig side massively.
