Club América’s transfer window for Clausura 2026 has underwhelmed so far, with only three signings and just one viewed as a likely starter.

According to Americayya.net, the arrivals are Rodrigo Dourado from Atlético de San Luis, goalkeeper Fernando Tapia, who returns after the club bought back 30% of his rights, and right-back Aarón Mejía, a surprise addition. Head coach André Jardine has said only one more player is planned, describing it as significant and for a specific role, without naming the position.

Whether that final signing happens depends on finding an exit for Víctor Dávila, who is not in the coaching staff’s plans. He is one of three foreign players in that situation, alongside Igor Lichnovsky and Javairo Dilrosun, all still training with the squad.

The board has repeatedly struggled to move underperforming foreign players, with high salaries and long contracts making sales or loans difficult.

For now, incoming business appears limited, and any addition is likely to hinge on an outgoing being agreed.
