Club World: Real Madrid - PSG in the semi-final

Real Madrid - Dortmund: Garcia and Mbappé decisive

After netting the winner against Juventus in the previous round, Gonzalo Garcia once again stole the spotlight in the quarter-finals. He opened the scoring in the 10th minute, before Fran Garcia doubled the lead ten minutes later (2-0).

Dortmund tried to mount a late comeback. The Germans pulled one back in stoppage time, but substitute Kylian Mbappé struck a third for Real to make it 3-1. Dortmund converted a penalty to bring the score to 3-2, but it wasn't enough to turn the tide. Real Madrid are through to the final four.

PSG - Bayern: Parisian win and emotional shock

PSG booked their ticket to the semi-finals with a 2-0 win over Bayern Munich, courtesy of goals from Désiré Doué and Ousmane Dembélé. But the lasting image from this match will be the dreadful injury to Jamal Musiala.

The young German international twisted his ankle in a challenge with Gianluigi Donnarumma. It was a shocking scene: Musiala screamed in agony as the Italian goalkeeper broke down in tears at the sight of his opponent's injury. Musiala was stretchered off the pitch under the anxious gaze of teammates and rivals alike. PSG finished the match with nine men after red cards to both Willian Pacho and Theo Hernandez, ruling them out of the semi-final.

PSG will now face Real Madrid in the semi-final for a heavyweight clash at the pinnacle of this Club World Cup.
