The game against Inter will be AC Milan’s final chance at salvaging the season, and Sergio Conceicao is attempting to solve a few things.
It can be put no other way, if Milan fail to beat the Nerazzurri tomorrow night, the already failure of a season will become much worse, and no one can afford that. Stocks have not been lower for the Rossoneri in years, and this is why the final chance must be taken.
So, Calciomercato.com writes that Conceicao is attempting to make a few changes to things, with the goal of winning the Coppa Italia for the first time in 23 years for the Rossoneri.
Starting from a squad perspective, Milan will be strengthened by two returning players: Kyle Walker and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who both took part in group training yesterday and today. The former is more likely to start, but minutes could be offered to both.
Then, there is the question of personnel, where Conceicao is likely to start with a back three, though the decision has not been finalised. Fikayo Tomori and Matteo Gabbia should retain their places, whilst Malick Thiaw is expected to take the final shirt.
Walker could replace Alex Jimenez to offer more balance, then Luka Jovic and Tammy Abraham will probably compete for the striker spot, though Santiago Gimenez could also be in with a chance of playing.
