Nantes, already relegated to Ligue 2, host Toulouse on Sunday at 21:00 in the 34th and final Ligue 1 round, the last match of 74-year-old Vahid Halilhodzic’s managerial career.
Their fate was sealed by a 0-1 defeat at Lens a week ago. According to L'Équipe, Halilhodzic turns 74 on Friday and returns to the bench after a four-match suspension, with La Beaujoire still restive.
Selection options are slim for his farewell, with around 10 absentees, chiefly in defence. Goalkeeper Alexis Mirbach (knee) is out, as are full-backs Kelvin Amian (pubalgia), Fabien Centonze (knee), Frédéric Guilbert (knee) and Deiver Machado (hamstring).
Centre-backs Tylel Tati (thigh) and Uros Radakovic (pubalgia) are also injured. In midfield Francis Coquelin and Bahmed Deuff have toe problems, while forward Dehmaine Tabibou is a doubt due to illness.
All of which leaves Halilhodzic with little room to manoeuvre for his final starting XI.
