Valencia began preparations on Tuesday for Saturday’s meeting with Espanyol at Mestalla, with the win at Getafe offering a lift. The squad observed a minute’s silence for victims of the Adamuz train crash.
As reported by AS, Eray Cömert rejoined group training. He travelled to Getafe but could not replace Tárrega due to his own discomfort.
The centre-back is feeling better and is an option to start against Espanyol given absences in central defence.
Dani Raba remains out with a soleus problem and did not train on Tuesday. The attacking midfielder was injured before the cup tie with Burgos and did not travel to Getafe.
Corberán was also without Agirrezabala, Thierry, Diakhaby and Tárrega. A medical report on Tárrega ruled out a serious injury and confirmed a medial collateral ligament sprain in his left knee. He could be out for two to three weeks.
