The organised Como supporters’ group have issued a strong statement against the decision to play Milan vs Como in Perth, Australia in February 2026 – describing the move as “a betrayal of the fans” and “a publicity stunt.”

The group responded publicly after the club released its official communication explaining the reasoning behind the trip.

While thanking the ownership for its ambition and work to raise the club’s profile, the fans made it clear that the identity of the club cannot exist without its supporters.

“The Como without its people is not Como,” the statement reads, with quotes via MilanNews.it.

“You talk about sacrifice as if it’s an abstract concept. For us, sacrifice is daily life – working all week and travelling hundreds of kilometres on Sundays just to be there.”

Como ultras: ‘This is not about the common good’

The ultras went on to criticise the idea that supporters should make further sacrifices for what they call a commercial showcase:

“Don’t lecture us about the ‘common good.’ The good of the club lives in the stands – in the rain, the cold, in songs and scarves. Football was born from the people, not from marketing strategies. Our faith doesn’t travel business class – it stays here.”

The statement concluded with a call for pride and resistance:

“Show some dignity and don’t accept this invitation. Passion can’t be bought. Don’t be complicit in this farce.”
