Real Madrid fans bid goodbye to Carlo Ancelotti and Luka Modric at the Santiago Bernabeu even as the team secured a 2-0 win over Real Sociedad on the final matchday of La Liga.
It might be the end of the road for Ancelotti and it may have been the last dance at the Bernabeu for Modric but the season is still not over for Los Blancos.
After all, they will travel to the USA next month to participate in the newly-expanded FIFA Club World Cup, with new manager Xabi Alonso at the helm of affairs.
Ahead of the Club World Cup, though, Real Madrid have been handed a fresh injury concern.
Indeed, according to AS, Brahim Diaz has suffered a new injury setback just weeks before the Club World Cup, casting doubt over his immediate availability.

The versatile attacker, who had recently returned from a thigh issue, left the pitch with renewed problems in the same left leg.
Brahim returned to Real Madrid’s starting eleven after missing recent matches against Mallorca and Sevilla due to the aforementioned thigh injury.
But his comeback lasted only 56 minutes as he requested to be substituted after feeling discomfort in his left leg and realising he could not continue. He was replaced by Vinicius Jr., who was also making his return from injury.
It is a a concerning development for Real Madrid with the Club World Cup approaching. Fortunately, the tournament is still more than three weeks away, giving him time to recover.
However, it is now likely that Brahim will not join the Morocco national team during the upcoming international break.
