Zamalek will travel to Zambia this weekend to take on Zesco United in Matchday 5 of the Confederation Cup.

The White Knights top Group D with 8 points, but have two close rivals hot on their heels. Al-Masry and Kaizer Chiefs are both on 7 points. That means Zamalek will be eager to defeat the group’s bottom side and secure their place in the quarterfinals before hosting Kaizer Chiefs on the final matchday.

Zesco United have lost all four of their group matches so far and sit bottom with zero points. Already eliminated, they’ll now play for pride in the last two rounds.

It’s worth noting that Zamalek won the reverse fixture, which was the opening matchday, by a single goal on November 23.
