FC Barcelona have officially announced the signing of striker Ignasi Quer for their reserve team, Barça Atletic.
The 22-year-old Catalan forward joins on a free transfer from CE L’Hospitalet and has signed a contract until 30 June 2028, becoming the second confirmed signing of the reserve team for the 2026/27 season, after Javi Castro.
“FC Barcelona and Ignasi Quer have reached an agreement for the striker to join Barça Atlètic,” the club statement read.
“The 22-year-old Catalan footballer has signed a contract until June 30, 2028, and will strengthen Juliano Belletti’s Barça reserve team for the 2026/27 season.”
Quer’s arrival forms part of Barcelona’s rebuilding project following a difficult campaign that ended with Barça Atletic failing to achive promotion out of the RFEF Segunda Federación.
Quer joins the team after enjoying an outstanding 2025/26 season. He began the campaign with UE Vic, scoring five goals, before moving to CE L’Hospitalet during the winter transfer window.
His form improved even further after the move, as he scored 15 goals during the second half of the season, becoming one of the key figures in L’Hospitalet’s promotion challenge.
Quer also scored twice in L’Hospitalet’s opening promotion play-off tie against CF Badalona, further underlining his ability to deliver in important matches.
Overall, he finished the campaign with 20 goals in Tercera Federación, establishing himself as one of the division’s most prolific forwards.
Barcelona believe they are signing a striker who combines physical presence, finishing ability and the versatility to lead the line.
The contract signing was attended by Barcelona’s Director of Youth Football, José Ramón Alexanko.
