Manchester City host Brentford at the City in the Community Etihad Stadium on Saturday as they look to close the gap on Arsenal at the top of the Premier League.
Pep Guardiola‘s side enter the clash five points behind the Gunners with a game in hand, knowing that victory would cut the deficit to two points and keep the title race alive heading into the final two weekends of the campaign.
Arsenal face West Ham on Sunday, meaning City could head into the final week of the season within two points of the league leaders if results go their way this weekend.
City come into the fixture off the back of Monday’s 3-3 draw at Everton wherein Jeremy Doku‘s stunning 97th-minute equaliser salvaged a point after a second-half collapse on the part of Guardiola’s side.

Brentford arrive at the Etihad Stadium in seventh place and pushing for European football next season, with Keith Andrews’ side having suffered a 1-0 defeat in the reverse fixture in west London earlier this term.
Rodri remains a significant doubt after missing training on Friday, while Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol both returned to the training ground on Friday to give City a personnel boost in defence for the final weeks of the season.
Guardiola has spoken openly this week about the importance of focusing solely on the task at hand rather than looking at what Arsenal do on Sunday, insisting it would be “a big mistake thinking for the other ones” ahead of a fixture against a Bees side with plenty on the line themselves.
