The Nacional hosted Sporting Cristal’s 1-0 win over Cerro Porteño in the opening round, sealed by Brazilian forward Felipe Vizeu. It also staged last season’s meeting between these sides, which Palmeiras won 3-2.

Alejandro Villanueva, known as Matute, holds about 34,000 and is the home of Alianza Lima, rivals of Sporting Cristal.

The clubs have already met in this campaign, last Thursday Abel Ferreira’s Palmeiras won 2-1 to take top spot in Group F from the Peruvians.

Before travelling to Lima, Palmeiras are due in Asunción to face Cerro Porteño on Wednesday 29 at 21:30 at the Nueva Olla.
