A long and significant 2025 for AC Milan Women comes to an end with their season debut in the Coppa Italia. Now, the task ahead for Bakker's side is far from straightforward as they fight for a place in the quarter-finals against another Serie A Women's side: Genoa. We gear up for our Round of 16 showdown with the Match Preview

LATEST FROM THE PUMA HOUSE OF FOOTBALL The Rossonere's aim for their final fixture of 2025 is to close out the year on a high by progressing in the Coppa Italia, while also bouncing back from the Derby defeat. It's an aim that is their motivation to give it their all by playing to their strengths and limiting weaknesses. Over recent months, AC Milan have proven themselves to be a side with significant attacking potential (the only time their opponents have managed to keep a clean sheet was when AC Milan played Como Women in Seregno), and are now looking to add greater defensive solidity to their game. The match against Genoa will be a valuable test for this. Babb, Cernoia, Dompig, Gemmi, Renzotti, Sorelli, and Zanini will continue to be unavailable but will all make a return in 2026.

LATEST FROM GENOA The Rossoblù earned their place in the Round of 16 thanks to the 4-0 win away against Hellas Verona in September, their greatest victory of the season to date. Genoa's first historic campaign in the top flight has yet to bring a true breakthrough in terms of results: their six points so far have come from home wins against the other two newly promoted sides, Ternana Women and Parma, and since mid-November, they have only lost. However, taking a look back at the last match on 5 October helps put the challenge ahead into perspective. As Genoa strive to turn this difficult spell around, they will undoubtedly look to Norma Cinotti, the team's leading scorer with four goals so far this season, including one in the Coppa Italia.
