Corinthians are close to sealing a deal for Allan, with an agreement in place with Flamengo for a loan until the end of 2026.
According to Globo.com, Flamengo have accepted a loan without a fee on the condition that Corinthians cover the midfielder’s wages. Corinthians will have an option to buy at the end of the agreement, with figures undisclosed.
The next step is for Allan to travel to São Paulo for medical examinations. If he is approved, he will sign his contract.
Corinthians have been seeking a midfielder with reading of the game, passing and marking. After losing Maycon to Atlético-MG, they opened talks with Vinícius Souza of Wolfsburg, Germany, and Alisson of São Paulo, but both deals fell through over finances.
Revealed by Internacional, Allan has played in Finland, Belgium, Germany and Cyprus. In Brazil, he featured for Fluminense, Atlético-MG and Flamengo, winning last year’s Brasileirão and the Conmebol Libertadores with Flamengo.
Allan had little room under coach Filipe Luís and was made available, holding talks with São Paulo before this agreement. This season he has played only one match, when he was substituted at half-time in the derby against Flamengo on 25 January.
