Corinthians agree transfer of academy striker to Serbian club

Last week, Corinthians finalized the sale of forward Juninho, 19 years old, to FK IMT, from the Serbian first division. The information was initially reported by TMC and confirmed by Central do Timão. The player has already traveled to Europe to join his new club. In the negotiation, the Alvinegro retains 40% of the player's economic rights and will not receive financial compensation.

FK IMT, in turn, will be responsible for the remaining 60% of his economic rights. Juninho played last season on loan at Maxline Vitebsk, in Belarus, where he scored four goals and provided four assists in 31 matches, becoming national champion with the team. The youngster joined Corinthians in 2021 and, with the Corinthians youth team, won the São Paulo Under-17 Championship in 2023 and the São Paulo Junior Football Cup in 2024.

In 2025, before being loaned to Belarusian football, he played for Timãozinho in the Copinha, in which the team ended up as runners-up after losing to São Paulo 3-2, coming from behind, at Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu. Despite still being eligible to play in the Under-20 category, Juninho was no longer in Corinthians' plans.

His contract with the club from Parque São Jorge was set to expire at the end of the 2026 season and, with the transfer, was terminated early. In the Corinthians youth system, he scored 19 goals in 110 matches, 63 of them for the Under-20 and 47 for the Under-17 team.
