Corinthians began preparations at CT Joaquim Grava on Thursday for Sunday’s Brasileirão meeting with Internacional at Neo Química Arena, kick-off 19:30. The session came with head coach Dorival Júnior under pressure after eight matches without a win in 2026.
According to Meu Timao, leaders of Gaviões da Fiel arrived at the training ground in the morning and addressed players and staff before work began, making strong demands.
Those who logged more than 45 minutes in Wednesday’s defeat to Fluminense did recovery work, while the rest completed physical activation and warm-ups on the pitch. Dorival oversaw pressing and possession drills and small-sided games. The squad also worked on attacking patterns focused on passes, crosses and finishing.
Dorival will have goalkeeper Hugo Souza and midfielder André Carrillo back after duty with Brazil and Peru respectively in the last FIFA window. Midfielder Raniele also returns from suspension.
Suspended pair Allan and left-back Matheus Bidu are out. Forwards Memphis Depay, with a strain in the anterior right thigh, Gui Negão, with a grade 2 right thigh injury, and Kaio César, with perifibrotic inflammation in the previously injured right hamstring area, remain in the treatment room. Left-back Hugo Farias is still recovering from surgery on the lateral meniscus of his right knee.
Corinthians continue preparations on Friday morning. They sit 11th in the Brasileirão on 10 points.
