Corinthians-bound right-back watches Majestoso derby from VIP box

Corinthians ended in a 1-1 draw against São Paulo at the Neo Química Arena, during the third round of the first phase of the 2026 Paulista Championship. The Corinthians' goal was scored by midfielder Breno Bidon, late in the second half. The result placed the Alvinegro in seventh position on the overall table with four points – only the top eight advance to the knockout stage.

Besides the attraction of the Majestic classic, right-back Pedro Milans was present in Itaquera, who is about to be announced by the Parque São Jorge club, with a contract valid until the end of 2029. The Uruguayan, who played for Peñarol, Uruguay, watched the match in one of the Arena's boxes alongside midfielder Rodrigo Garro, who is recovering from surgery on his left wrist.

Revealed by Juventud, also from Uruguay, the athlete joined Peñarol in 2022, staying until the end of the last season when his contract was not renewed. In total, he played 111 games for the traditional Uruguayan team, scoring two goals and providing five assists. Last year, Milans took the field 42 times, providing two assists.

He arrives to compete for the position with Matheuzinho, the absolute starter, who currently has João Vitor ‘Jacaré’ (19 years old), revealed in the Corinthians' youth academy, as an alternative. Additionally, winger Kaio César is also expected to be announced in the coming days, arriving on loan from Al-Hilal, Saudi Arabia, until the end of this season.

On the other hand, defender Gabriel Paulista and midfielder Matheus Pereira, who were at Besiktas, Turkey, and Fortaleza, respectively, have already been announced. Meanwhile, Corinthians is preparing for its next commitment. Next Thursday (22), the Alvinegro returns to the field to face Santos, at 7:30 PM (Brasília time), at Vila Belmiro, for the fourth round of the first phase of the 2026 Paulistão.
